- The ghostly barn owl is increasingly rare but thrives in the marshes and wetland habitats of our centres, especially at Welney in Norfolk.
- In the spring time see ducklings and chicks take to the water in convoy behind their protective parents.
- Explore our sprawling habitats by foot, canoe, Land Rover and bicycle. Each of our centres offer their own unique walking trails and forms of transport.
- Our centres aren't just home to birds - you can also get up close with a whole assortment of wetland mammals including our delightful otters,
- They look tropical but we have a booming flock of pink greater flamingos at the Slimbridge Wetland Centre where more than 30 pairs live. Their early spring courtship is an eye-catching ritual of marching and wing flapping.
